Power-Publish by Daniel L. Carter

Author Daniel L. Carter

My journey through the publishing grinder is not much different than many other authors. I started out with learning the demands of the publishing community. That road took me from March of 2006 to October of 2007 where I went through 4 rewrites of my first book The Unwanted.

My goal, was to land an agent and publisher for my book. I thought my prayers had been answered when a small publisher picked me up in April of 2008 and I signed a contract. Great, now my books would get out into the public and I could work on book 2 in my G6 Chronicles series. How naive I was. The book took two years to get published. The Unwanted finally came out in May of 2010. So I thought now I could relax and finish my series, but that was not the case. Continue reading “Power-Publish by Daniel L. Carter”

New Release: Tangent, by Mike Pomeroy

Mike Pomeroy is pleased to announce the release of his newest novel.

Tangent is a story of Alan; a man who travels back into our present era from the not-too-distant future.

More than most time-travel stories; Tangent has a strong literary flavor and lovingly explores the strange rituals of modern life. Alan encounters many interesting characters who all serve, in one way or another, to unlock the mystery of his fate. Tangent also explores our perception of reality and the struggle to gain solidarity and peace in a world governed by quiet subversion and unchecked greed.

The reader is left to ponder the possibilities that Alan discovers through the course of the novel.

“Tangent is a politically-charged, time-bending, dystopian view of the distant and not too distant future.” -Kevin Godbee, Pipesmagazine.com

This title is available from Amazon US and Amazon UK.

Sneak Peek: What Would You Do? A Kid’s Guide to Staying Safe in a World of Strangers

What Would You Do?Today we have a sneak peek from Melissa Harker Ridenour’s children’s non-fiction book, What Would You Do? A Kid’s Guide to Staying Safe in a World of Strangers:

What Would You Do? A Kid’s Guide to Staying Safe in a World of Strangers offers a kid- friendly solution to parental fears. It’s targeted to elementary-aged children, but, ideally, is meant to be a shared experience with parent & child / teacher & student.

The concept of “stranger” is difficult for kids to understand. This book explains the concept in a very reassuring way and teaches children a method for determining whom they should and shouldn’t trust. It also offers an interactive format of multiple choice solutions to potentially dangerous situations involving strangers and a chapter for parents.

What Would You Do? A Kid’s Guide to Staying Safe in a World of Strangers is available in print from Amazon.com, Barnes & Noble and Booksamillion. Continue reading “Sneak Peek: What Would You Do? A Kid’s Guide to Staying Safe in a World of Strangers”
