For Past or Present Upstate New Yorkers Only…Stone Canoe

Stone Canoe considers for inclusion previously unpublished works of short fiction, creative nonfiction, technical writing, short plays, poems, and works of visual art. The writer/artist must have a first-person connection to Upstate New York, unless the writer is a veteran, but the piece(s) submitted can be about anything at all. The work does not need to involve New York State.

Prizes: Publication. Contributors receive one copy of each issue in which their work appears and are featured on our web site.

YouTube_FINALI’ve been interested in making a book trailer for a while, so I was intrigued when K.S. Brooks told me YouTube had a completely online video maker that was FREE. See, FREE gets me every time. (Sorry). I thought I’d test out YouTube’s video editor, and what I’ve discovered is that it’s doable, but it’s not a simple plug-and-play system with no hitches.
