Lauren Rutherford knows she is many things: a failed baker, an orphan, and a computer programmer. She also suspects she is ever-so-slightly nuts given that she often has conversations with her multiple personalities, and Bad Luck is a man who seems to enjoy tormenting her at every opportunity.

What Lauren doesn’t know is that she is also a witch. She needs to learn, and fast, because the only thing between her and certain death is Agnes, her long-dead ancestor who has a foul mouth and a passion for G-strings, and Daniel, a sexy-as-hell male witch who drives her to distraction.

As the last descendant of a long line of witches, Lauren is the victim of a four hundred year old curse. Her life depends on surviving a challenge set down by three damned souls: a challenge that will take her to hell and back. Literally. And Satan doesn’t do tea and scones!

The Last Challenge is available from Amazon.com and Amazon UK.

Sharon, how did you come up with the title for your book? Does it have any special meaning?
I spent weeks and weeks, pulling together a word cloud of related words before I finally settled on The Last Challenge. I wanted something positive that was unlike anything else in the genre.

Who was your favorite character and why?
Oh crikey, who to choose? I love them all! If you insist, I guess it has to be Agnes. She is the epitome of every northern woman; strong, determined and fiercely loyal.

Does your book have any underlying theme, message, or moral?
This story is about family. And family isn’t just those who are blood relatives. Often, we meet people we have a strange affinity with and they end up becoming a part of our family. Maybe we knew them in another life, who knows?

What would/could a reader or reviewer say about this book that shows they “get” you as an author?
If a reviewer tells me they laughed, they get me. If they tell me they loved the characters, they get me. Each and every one of them has a little bit of me in them although I won’t admit if it’s the good or the bad bits!

Give us an excerpted quote from your favorite review of this book:
“With just the right mix of humor, fun, and sexiness, The Last Challenge by Sharon Karaa is going to be on my reread shelf for a long time to come!”
