When Brooklyn meets Bo, their lives are instantly turned upside down.

Brooklyn and Bo, each unhappily married to someone else, have to decide whether to stay with their spouses or give up everything for each other. Find out what Brooklyn’s husband and Bo’s soon-to-be ex-wife do to break them up.

Shattered Reality is the first book in a three part series that follows the main character, Brooklyn throughout her childhood, adult life and then what seems like an “endless” journey towards redemption.

This book is available from Amazon.

Brenda, how did you come up with the title for your book? Does it have any special meaning?
I actually got the title from the cover design. The shattered glass represented a shattered relationship and the reality is there because this story is all based on my real life. Couldn’t make most of this stuff up!

Who was your favorite character and why?
It would have to be Brooklyn because she is me and as I have gotten older I have come to appreciate the girl she was. She was just like everyone else, trying to find her way in the big messy world of ours!

Does your book have any underlying theme, message, or moral?
I hope there are some inspirational messages in Shattered Reality. It’s about life, loss and survival. I think many people can relate to Brooklyn’s story. She has her quirks but she is human. Maybe people will walk away with a feeling of hope and appreciation for what they have. See that they shouldn’t take their lives, the health and the people in their lives for granted.

What would/could a reader or reviewer say about this book that shows they “get” you as an author?
I have had readers say that Shattered Reality is an honest story full of life lessons. Relatable and raw. This story puts life in perspective and makes you think about your own life and reflect on some of your decisions. Shattered Reality makes you see that judging a book by it’s cover (or title) is not fair.

I have been touched by the positive response to this book and how accepting people can be.

Give us an excerpted quote from your favorite review of this book:
Will Brooklyn end up with the love, and the man of her dreams, or will Ruth come out victorious in her battle to destroy the one good thing Brooklyn has? See who comes out on top in this story about shattered realities. Heartbreak and victories abound in the Brooklyn and Bo Chronicles!
