April Facebook Fest!

facebook rainLet’s ring in April by showing some love to our Facebook pages!

This is how it works: If you are a person with a Facebook page you’re welcome to join in. This is not limited to being an author, publisher, publicist, literary agent, book reviewer, librarian, (but if you’re a book-lover – that’s awesome!), etc., in the comments below, paste in the link for your Facebook Page. Make sure you show some love to the links in the comments above yours, and check back throughout the day to catch up. (“Likes” from other PAGES do not count. Only “likes” from personal accounts register.)

[Don’t forget, if you right-click the links, you can choose to have them open in a separate tab so you don’t have to worry about navigating back and forth to pages.]

This should be fun and should generate a lot of likes, follows, etc. for everyone who plays. Let’s get the party started!

To those with concerns about the ethical implications of “liking” a book you have not read, we regard  likes as more analogous to a “high five” than a rating or review. We do not support the idea of rating or reviewing a book you have never read.

PLEASE be sure to reciprocate by liking those who like you. This is give and take. If everyone plays by the golden rule, we all benefit.

  1. Liked pages up to here. There were quite a few I’d liked before. Will check back later to see if there are any more pages.

  2. Caught up to this point. Looking forward to seeing likes on my pages. In the past only had a few, hopefully this time will be better.

          1. Tks Richard, I’ve already liked you too, wanted to get your feed on my professional page because I’m spending more time there and I like your posts.

    1. Your page looks good and I found a post to share. I post beautiful pictures and inspirational quotes related to my writing interests every day as well as book and writing related posts. That way I get more likes, comments and shares, keeping my followers engaged.

      1. Thanks for the feedback. I’m trying to revive the page after not being active for a while. Like you, I prefer posts that are uplifting and bring beauty — which is why I enjoy your page!

    1. Alan, the link isn’t for your professional page. There’s no opportunity to like it.

    1. Took me two tries to put this in as a reply under Anne Flint’s entry as I intended. Now I’m going to claim this is a place-marker for my “liking” progress. Yeah, that’s it.

  3. Got you all up to here. Off to bed now. I’ll be back in the morning. Thanks for all the new likes and to all of you who have liked my page before. x

    1. As long as you “liked” everyone from your personal page and not your writer’s page, it will count. FB doesn’t count it when one page likes another.

    1. Don’t feel bad, there are so many new things to learn about self promotion when you’re an indie. Most are still way above my head, just taking one step at a time. Best of luck!

    2. You are indeed, not alone Alan. We’ve all been there. Some of us still are, more often than we’d care to admit.
