K.S. Brooks is an award-winning novelist and photographer, author of twenty-two titles, and co-administrator of Indies Unlimited. Brooks’ feature articles, poetry, and photography have appeared in magazines, newspapers, books, and other publications both in the U.S. and abroad.
The Mr. Pish Educational Series currently contains six books, three calendars, and will soon include apps for Apple and Droid products. Mr. Pish is a traveling terrier who has visited 41 States, Washington DC, and 7 Provinces of Canada to discover awesome places to share with his readers. All of Mr. Pish’s books promote outdoor learning and literacy and are reviewed by a panel of seasoned educators before release.
The Agent Night Suspense series is currently comprised of three books: Lust for Danger, The Kiss of Night, and Night Undone. The first book is an action-adventure thriller detailing Special Agent Kathrin Night’s early days with her agency. The last two novels are character-driven dramas which take place after Agent Night must relinquish her career as an anti-terrorist field operative due to a debilitating injury. This “Cover Me” Series follows Special Agent Night as she tries to balance her need to fight injustice with the reality of civilian life. Of course, she can’t stay out of trouble for long. The sequel to Lust for Danger is due out in 2015.
In addition to educational children’s books and suspense, Brooks also writes humor, non-fiction, and books tailored to help authors. Her comedy titles include the collaborations Triple Dog Dare, Bad Book, and Odd & Odder. Her non-fiction books are under the Indies Unlimited imprint, and if you haven’t purchased those yet, you should be ashamed of yourself! She has plans for even more genre hopping in 2014, just to keep readers confused.
